Account Manager (genetics)


Our client, a well-respected multinational company that develops cutting-edge biotechnology and pharmaceutical products, is looking for a field-based Account Manager to introduce the company’s products to cosmetic clinics across the UK.

The role

You will be tasked with building relationships with cosmetic surgeons, aesthetic doctors, and private clinic managers, and increasing sales of an innovative diagnostic kit that can be used to test a patient’s genetic makeup in order to provide the most appropriate course of treatment.

You will promote and sell the company’s product to clinics across the UK, highlighting the advantages of this unique product. You will ensure that all new customers receive an excellent standard of customer service and receive any assistance necessary. You will aim to retain customers long-term and generate a high level of client satisfaction. You will also promote the product at trade shows and events.

As the lead representative for the product, you will use your business development skills and knowledge of the industry to map out your territory, identify potential clients, and create a strategy for how you will achieve business targets. You will track your activities and communication and maintain your client database, ensuring that records are kept up-to-date and accurate. You will seek to grow the database, using your existing connections in the private medical industry and your research skills to source new contacts. You will also produce reports for senior management, to forecast and monitor your progress.

Skills and experience required

We are looking for an excellent communicator and negotiator with experience of the aesthetics and cosmetic surgery industry. You will be someone who excels at building client relationships, someone who can understand and interpret scientific information, and someone who is proactive and professional.

You will need to be highly organised and have the capability to manage your own workload, as you will spend the majority of your time on the road visiting clinics across the UK.

You must be able to demonstrate your capability as a field-based sales representative, with a past record of successfully working to target and managing your own territory.
