Will I receive training if I do not have experience within this sector?

Yes. Our Clients provide excellent ongoing training which will enable you to become specialist practitioners in your own right. Depending on the position you secure, you will be fully trained on Laser techniques, non-surgical procedures and aesthetic practice

Will I be able to maintain my Nursing Registration if I join a Cosmetic Surgery Group?

Yes. Absolutely. You will still be working in a clinical setting and within NMC guidelines. In fact, the practice of Facial Aesthetics now has RCN accreditation. Follow www.rcn.org to find out more and visit the forum

What will my hours of work be?

Generally, most of the companies that we work with open their clinics 7 days per week with some late evenings in order to be accessible for all their Clients. You would be expected to be available to work some weekends and evenings on a rotation with your colleagues. But there are NO night shifts / on call expectations

What qualifications and experience are you looking for?

To work as an Aesthetic Nurse or Laser Nurse, you will require CURRENT NMC Registration with some post registration experience (at least 6 months). Previous experience or ability to demonstrate that you are able to work in a commercial / customer service led environment will be helpful.

Beauty Therapy qualifications are ideal to practice as a Medical Aesthetician: NVQ Level 2 and 3 are generally the preferred modules involving some electrolysis / Laser experience is advantageous

Clinic Manager Opportunities will be open to NMC Registered Nurses with some sales / commercial experience or evidence of managing a team AND Therapists who are experienced within the Medical Aesthetic field and have previous experience at Management level

Clinic Co-Ordinators AND Front of House positions are ideal for you if you have worked in a Reception role in the past with experience of customer contact or have a keen interest in beauty and health and could support a busy clinic.

Is this a good career move for me?

If you are seeking a change in direction, from the clinical Nursing setting or transferring your beauty therapy or related skills, the aesthetic sector has experienced enormous growth over the last few years and could be a solid career move. The RCN has found that this is the fastest growing medical speciality this year, and it shows little sign of slowing. A number of our Clients have dramatic expansion plans and have ongoing opportunities to progress within their company structure.

I am not a Registered Nurse, are there opportunities in this industry for me?

There are positions for sales people with an interest in this area who can demonstrate commercial understanding and roles as Aestheticians, Skin Therapists, Advisors and Clinic Managers if you have acquired NVQ level qualifications or Laser experience.
